XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Chrysler 300C 2005-2010

The LX-platform 300C is a heavy car with a long wheelbase and a rear-drive layout borrowed from the W211 E-Class – which means its factory damping was always tuned to mask mass rather than control it. The Top Sport coilover addresses that head-on, replacing the soft OEM struts with a setup that uses 30-50% more damping force and roughly 2 kg/mm stiffer spring rates than a street kit, so the front end stops diving on turn-in and the rear stops squatting when the 5.7 or 6.1 HEMI hands you the torque.

This is the right pick for a 300C owner who treats the car as a daily but wants it sharp enough for the occasional track day or a hard Sunday B-road run. The kit comes out of XYZ Racing’s Top Sport programme, which is their dedicated bracket for cars that need to live on the street and still answer when the road opens up.

What this coilover does for your 2005-2010 Chrysler 300C

Lower the 300C onto these coilovers and the first thing you notice is the body stops moving in the wrong directions. Steering inputs translate immediately instead of waiting for the chassis to set; mid-corner bumps no longer unsettle a car that previously felt like it was running on cruise-ship suspension. The 2 kg/mm spring rate increase loads the front tyres harder under braking, which gives the big Chrysler genuine turn-in bite – something the factory 300C has never had. Over expansion joints and broken tarmac, the extra damping settles the rear axle in a single stroke rather than the OE setup’s two or three secondary motions, so the car tracks straight when you’d previously have felt the boat-tail wag. The result is a 300C that finally drives as planted as it looks.

About the Top Sport coilover

The Top Sport is XYZ Racing’s street-and-track crossover spec – a kit built around their Top Sport racing experience and dialled back just enough to live with potholes and speed bumps. Damping is set 30-50% firmer than a pure street coilover, with spring rates roughly 2 kg/mm above XYZ’s road tune, so the kit absorbs the jolt across larger bumps while clamping down on secondary body motions that hurt traction. The construction targets impact absorption first: the damper keeps the tyre loaded through compression strokes that would unload an OEM shock, which is what gives the Top Sport its grip advantage in transitions. XYZ markets the spec specifically for track days and aggressive driving, and it sits in their range between the daily-focused Super Sport and the dedicated circuit-only Circuit Master. For a 300C – a car that responds dramatically to stiffer rates because the OEM tune is so soft – this is the calibration sweet spot.

Fitment for the Chrysler 300C (2005-2010)

This kit fits the first-generation LX-platform Chrysler 300C built between 2005 and 2010, internal chassis designation CR01. It covers the rear-wheel-drive variants of that production span. Confirm your build year against the yearFrom-yearTo window before ordering.
