XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES E63 / E64 M6 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2004-2010

The E63 coupe and E64 convertible M6 carry the S85 5.0-litre V10 set well forward in a long, heavy GT shell, and the factory Electronic Damping Control was always tuned to flatter the road first. Strip those adaptive struts off for serious loose-surface work and the car throws faults – which is exactly the gap this kit closes.

This is the XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the BMW 6 Series E63 / E64 M6, the long-travel, rough-surface specification in the range, supplied with the cancellation kit that retires the OEM electronic damping cleanly. It is built for gravel, snow and rallycross stages rather than the lowest possible static drop, where wheel travel and heat endurance matter more than kerb-weight slammed looks.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2010 BMW 6 Series E63 / E64 M6

The extra travel front and rear gives the heavy nose of the M6 room to keep the contact patch loaded over crests, ruts and broken surfaces instead of topping or bottoming out. The enlarged oil and nitrogen volume holds damping consistent when the shocks are working hard over a long stage, so the rear does not go soft and vague as temperatures climb. Three-way adjustment lets you set bump and rebound for the surface in front of you, and the supplied cancellation kit means the dash stays clean with the EDC struts gone. Over big hits you may hear a faint flow noise through the valving – that is the oil moving, not a fault.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper was developed for rally and rallycross duty. The longer stroke at both axles increases the buffer distance available before the suspension runs out of travel, which is what keeps a fast, heavy car settled on unpredictable ground. The headline change is capacity: a larger reservoir of shock oil and nitrogen gas, which resists the heat build-up that would otherwise cook the oil and fade the damping after sustained hard use. The three adjustment knobs route fluid through a small-bore passage, and on large impacts that passage can produce a slight, normal working noise. It is set up for stage and circuit surfaces where bumps are expected rather than feared.

Fitment for the BMW 6 Series E63 / E64 M6 (2004-2010)

Engineered for the E63 / E64 M6 (chassis BM47-C) across the 2004 to 2010 model years, covering both the E63 coupe and E64 convertible. This specification ships with the cancellation kit required to remove the factory Electronic Damping Control without warning lights. Fitment facts beyond those listed here are not assumed – confirm your exact car in the configurator.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
