XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Mercedes-Benz C CLASS W204 8 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2014

The W204 C63 AMG carries its naturally aspirated 6.2-litre V8 well forward of the front axle, and that mass wants to keep travelling in a straight line the moment you turn in under load. On a car built for track use, the factory AMG Ride Control electronic dampers are the first thing to compromise you: their control logic is tuned for road comfort and can’t be told what a hairpin exit at 6,000rpm actually needs. XYZ Racing’s Racing Spec coilover, paired with the cancellation kit for electronic damping, removes that variable entirely.

Cancelling the electronic damping circuit lets the Racing Spec unit run as a fully manual, mechanically adjustable damper rather than fighting an ECU that’s guessing at road surface. For a modified rear, multi-link W204 already carrying aftermarket subframe or bushing work, that’s the difference between a suspension system that reacts predictably lap after lap and one with two competing inputs arguing over ride height and compression.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2014 Mercedes Benz C Class W204 8 CYL (Modified Rr Integrated)

Once fitted, the C63’s nose-heavy weight transfer under trail braking becomes something you can dial out mechanically rather than fight electronically. Damping force is set by hand at the shock body, so compression and rebound stay fixed corner to corner instead of drifting as the factory system recalculates mid-lap. Ride height drops and stays where you set it, lowering the centre of gravity across a chassis that’s already carrying eight cylinders up front. On the modified rear end, the coilover’s construction is matched to the altered geometry rather than the stock multi-link tune, so the back axle loads predictably through direction changes instead of surprising you on corner exit.

About the Racing Spec coilover

Racing Spec is XYZ Racing’s dedicated circuit-race damper, and its baseline settings weren’t arrived at on a bench – they come from direct involvement in WTCC-level competition, where lap time is the only metric that matters. That racing pedigree shapes how the valving responds under sustained heat cycling and repeated hard inputs, rather than the softer, comfort-biased curves found in road-oriented coilovers. For W204s carrying more aggressive modification – bigger brakes, wider track, factory-style aero – XYZ Racing also offers a custom shock absorber service: send over the spec of what else has changed on the car and the circuit it’ll run, and the damper build is adjusted around that specific combination rather than a generic V8 C-Class setting.

Fitment for the Mercedes Benz C Class W204 8 CYL (2007-2014)
