XYZ Racing Street Advanced Coilovers — Volkswagen BEETLE φ55 (Rear Multi-link Suspension) 2011-2026

The Volkswagen Beetle built on the Golf Mk6-derived platform carries a multi-link rear axle that’s capable of far more than the factory’s comfort-biased tune ever asks of it. XYZ Racing’s Street Advanced coilover for the Beetle (chassis reference VO02-4, 2011-2026) replaces that soft factory set-up front and rear, giving the car the height and damping range to close the gap between its retro-styled body and the more capable chassis sitting underneath.

Built for enthusiast road use with the option to add a track day without swapping kit, the Street Advanced sits between a simple lowering spring and a dedicated race set-up. Ride height and damping can both be set independently, so the car can be firmed up for a B-road run and backed off again for the motorway home.

What this coilover does for your 2011-2026 Volkswagen Beetle

Lowering the centre of gravity through the Beetle’s front struts and rear multi-link arms cuts body roll through direct-entry corners, where the standard suspension lets the nose dive and the rear step out of line before the driver’s ready for it. The 720-way damping adjustment lets you stiffen compression to control that dive under braking, then back off rebound so the multi-link rear tracks bumps instead of skipping over them. Ride height is independently adjustable at each corner, so you can correct the Beetle’s slightly nose-heavy factory stance and level the car front to rear. The outcome is sharper turn-in, less understeer on the way into a bend, and a rear axle that stays planted when you get back on the throttle.

About the Street Advanced coilover

Street Advanced is XYZ Racing’s core road-and-track coilover, refined across seasons by the brand’s own engineering team and shaped by what’s worked in competition on circuits worldwide. Rather than a single fixed damping curve, it offers 720 distinct damping combinations across compression and rebound, a far finer adjustment window than a basic two-way unit gives you. The shock body carries a threaded height-adjustable collar, so ride height and preload can be set independently of damping stiffness. It’s set up to cover two roles at once: firm enough to keep a car composed on a track day, compliant enough at softer settings for daily road use. For an owner running one car for both jobs, that adjustment range is what separates a lowering kit from a coilover you can actually tune to the day.

Fitment for the Volkswagen Beetle (2011-2026)

This kit is built for the Volkswagen Beetle fitted with rear multi-link suspension, chassis reference VO02-4, covering model years 2011 to 2026. It’s specific to the multi-link rear axle Beetle rather than any alternative rear suspension variant, so confirm your car’s rear suspension type against your spec sheet before ordering.
