Caliper render for this kit:

The C6 Z51’s transaxle layout, engine up front and gearbox slung over the rear axle, gives the Corvette a near-even weight split and a back end that carries real load under braking. That is exactly why the rear deserves a kit like the XYZ Racing Hollow Rear Brake Kit, not an afterthought set of pads. It replaces the factory Z51 rear setup with a lighter, two-piece floating rotor and a caliper built to hold temperature through repeated stops, supplied as a matched left-and-right pair.
The Z51 package already left the factory with uprated brakes, so a rear upgrade has to clear a high bar. The hollow-vane rotor strips rotating and unsprung mass from each corner while keeping the swept area needed to shed heat on a circuit. For a 400bhp-plus C6 that sees track days, that matters more at the back than the spec sheet suggests.
What this brake kit does for your 2005-2013 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z51
On the road you get a firmer, more progressive rear pedal and brakes that wake up faster from cold. Push the car on track and the gains show up where the Z51’s rear axle works hardest: late braking into a corner, where the transaxle weight tries to step the tail. The lighter hollow-vane rotor reduces rotational inertia, so the rear wheels settle more quickly under ABS intervention and the car stays composed when you trail the brake to the apex. Pad compound is your call: the Street compound for quiet, low-dust everyday duty, the Sport compound for fast-road use and the occasional track day, or the Racing compound when you are running consecutive track sessions and want bite that survives the heat. Matching the rear compound to the front keeps the brake balance true. Painted caliper finishes run from Red and Gold through Black and Anodized Black at no extra cost.
About the Hollow rear brake kit
The kit is built around a two-piece floating rotor with a hollow-vane braking ring, lightened internally rather than simply face-slotted. That cuts mass without giving up the thermal capacity a 1.5-tonne sports car needs at the rear, and the floating bell lets the ring expand under heat without distorting. It pairs the rotor with a fixed caliper, hollow-bodied as standard with a Hollow Racing upgrade for serious track use that removes the dust cover, is rated to 1000C and carries a two-year warranty, and three pad compound choices: Street, Sport and a full Racing compound. The position is rear-specific, so rotor diameter, hat and caliper mounting are sized for the C6 Z51’s back axle rather than adapted from a generic fitment. Painted caliper colours are Red, Yellow, Gold, Black or Anodized Black at no extra cost, with premium polished-forged and candy options and a custom Pantone choice, while discs come drilled or slotted at the same price, braided lines are included, and the centre bell can be upgraded to a two-tone anodized colour or titanium. The design priority is consistent rear bias as temperatures climb, so the front and rear of the car keep talking to each other when the brakes are working hard.
Fitment for the Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z51 (2005-2013)
This kit is cut specifically for the Chevrolet Corvette C6 in Z51 specification, covering the 2005 to 2013 model years, as a left-and-right pair. It addresses the rear axle only, suiting owners upgrading the back of the car or pairing it with a matching front kit. Confirm your car carries the Z51 package before ordering, as the standard C6 rear brakes differ.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 330–356mm (rear). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
