Caliper render for this kit:

The CT9A generation of the Lancer Evolution carries a specific reputation at sprint events and track days: the 4G63 pulls hard to the redline, the AWD platform generates grip that demands serious corner-entry speeds, and then the brakes have to manage the consequences. Mitsubishi’s factory Brembo front setup handles road use with confidence, but the hollow-vane disc construction in this XYZ Racing kit addresses the heat-management ceiling that standard vented hardware approaches under sustained hard use.
This XYZ Racing Hollow Front Brake Kit for the Mitsubishi EVO8 (2003-2005) is a front-axle upgrade, a matched pair of left and right front calipers and discs. Three pad compounds, Street, Sport and Racing, match the specification to how the car gets used. A CT9A splitting time between Welsh B-roads and occasional sprint mornings needs a different compound story from one running a full hillclimb season on sticky slicks.
What this brake kit does for your 2003-2005 Mitsubishi EVO8
The hollow-vane disc construction improves heat evacuation during the high-load braking events the CT9A’s combination of AWD traction and turbocharged power generates most readily, the heavy stops arriving after fast straights where brake temperatures build fastest, and the lighter rotor trims rotating and unsprung mass at the front. For EVO8 variants running AYC, consistent pedal feel matters beyond pure stopping performance: the system reads front brake input as part of its torque-vectoring loop, and fade-induced variation changes the car’s mid-corner behaviour as temperatures climb through a session. Street is the quiet, low-dust road default; Sport raises the bite and heat range for mixed road and track; Racing holds friction coefficient into the high-temperature range where lighter compounds work against their ceiling. Caliper colour is included at no extra cost in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, sitting cleanly in the arch whether the CT9A wears a factory finish or a full race livery.
About the XYZ Racing Hollow Front Brake Kit
The kit centres on a hollow-bodied caliper as standard and two-piece floating rotors built to prioritise heat management across the repeated braking events that characterise serious EVO8 use: sprint events, track days, and back-to-back runs where disc temperatures climb faster than standard hardware can dissipate. Discs are available drilled or slotted at the same price, plumbed on braided lines for a firm pedal. Three compounds address different windows: Street suits regular road and occasional hard use, Sport steps up the friction specification for drivers mixing road and track, and Racing is formulated for sustained high-temperature operation where lower-grade compounds would fade. For serious track use an optional Hollow Racing caliper upgrade is offered, run without a dust cover, rated to 1000C and backed by a two-year warranty. All caliper colours are included in Red, Yellow, Gold, Black and Anodized Black, with a Custom Color to any Pantone for £150, premium polished-forged Titanium, Polished Gold and Polished Silver, and candy Teal, Blue, Red and Orange.
Fitment for the Mitsubishi EVO8 (2003-2005)
This kit fits the CT9A-platform Mitsubishi EVO8 across the full production run from 2003 to 2005, covering both standard and MR variants. The front-axle fitment addresses the braking load distribution point where the CT9A’s AWD platform concentrates the most weight transfer under hard deceleration.

Choosing your spec
Every kit is built to order around the choices you make above. Here is what each option actually changes, so you can spec yours with confidence.
Brake pads — Street, Sport or Racing
Every kit ships with a full set of high-performance pads; the compound is your call.
Street is the right default for fast-road driving — a strong, progressive cold bite with low noise, low dust and long disc life. Sport raises the working temperature and adds bite and fade resistance for hard road use and the occasional track day, while still behaving on a cold morning. Racing is a track compound built for sustained abuse: huge fade resistance and bite once heat is in it, at the cost of more noise and dust when cold. Match the pad to how hard you actually use the brakes — there is no benefit to a race pad that never gets up to temperature.
Caliper grade — Hollow vs Hollow Racing
Hollow is the standard caliper on every kit: a hollow-body forged caliper, lighter than a solid one, fitted with a dust cover and backed by a 5-year oil-leak warranty. For most fast-road and spirited track use it is all the caliper you need.
Hollow Racing is the track-grade upgrade. It runs the same hollow body but without a dust cover (so there is nothing to melt at sustained high temperature), uses a twin-metal piston that isolates heat travelling from the disc to the oil seal, and is rated to 1000°C. Available 286–380mm (front). Warranty is 2 years on oil leaks and 10 years on appearance. Built for professional racing and repeated track days.

Caliper colour & finish
Painted colours (Red, Yellow, Gold, Black, Anodized Black) are included at no cost. Want an exact match to your car? Custom Color (+£150) paints the calipers to any Pantone code you supply (15–20 day lead time).
Polished Forged finishes are the flagship: a forged caliper given a mirror-polished surface treatment that shifts colour with the viewing angle. Beyond the looks, the polished surface dissipates heat better, resists rust and stands up to the weather. Choose Titanium (neochrome, +£350), Polished Gold (+£300) or Polished Silver (+£250). They look their best paired with a titanium centre bell. Care: clean only with a dilute neutral cleaner or water.
Candy colours (+£200) use a deep candy-paint and polishing process for a mirror-reflection, boutique finish — pick Teal, Blue, Red or Orange (shown below right).

Centre bells
The centre bell is the CNC-machined aluminium hat that joins the disc to the hub. The standard anodized centre bell is included. The Two-tone bell (+£200) adds an anodized accent ring — choose Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple or Silver right here at checkout. The Titanium centre bell (+£500) is a forged titanium bell (bolts not included) that finishes off the polished-forged look.
