XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES F44 3/4 CYL (Modified Rear Integrated) 2020-2026

The F44 2 Series is BMW’s first front-wheel-drive platform in the range, sharing its UKL underpinnings with the Mini and 1 Series hatch. That layout puts more weight over the front axle at launch than any 2 Series before it, and the three- and four-cylinder cars in this range make their power through the same nose-heavy geometry. Getting that weight to load the driven wheels instantly, rather than let the car squat and roll off the line, is the problem a drag setup has to solve.

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover for the F44, chassis code BM115-1, is built around exactly that problem. The kit lets you shift the car’s static front-to-rear balance to suit how the transmission puts torque down, so the driven wheels load up harder and faster the instant you release the clutch or brake-torque off the line. Less time spent with a spinning tyre means less time before the car is actually accelerating.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 BMW 2 Series F44

Once fitted, the biggest change you feel is in the first metre of a run, not mid-corner. Firmer, drag-specific spring and damping rates control the initial squat under hard launch, so the F44 loads its driven tyres instead of leaning onto its bump stops. Ride height and corner-weight adjustment let you fine-tune the static front/rear split for your specific gearing and tyre compound, which matters more on a three- or four-cylinder car making modest peak power but needing every bit of it to transfer cleanly. The result is a car that leaves the line more consistently, run after run, instead of bogging or spinning through first gear. Because the kit stays fully adjustable, you can back the settings off for road use between sessions rather than living with a car set up for the strip alone.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing range is built specifically for 0-400 metre work, whatever drivetrain the car underneath it uses – front, rear or four-wheel drive. Where a track-focused coilover manages weight transfer for cornering loads, this kit does the opposite: it controls weight transfer for a straight-line launch, so the driven axle compresses and grips rather than just squatting on soft springs. Adjustable ride height and damping let you set the car so the tyre compresses harder into the road surface in that first split second of throttle application, cutting down the wheelspin that costs a run its time. Once the car is off the line and running through the far end of a pass, the same settings keep the platform stable at speed rather than letting it float on soft, road-biased springs. For the F44’s three- and four-cylinder engines, where outright power is modest and traction is the limiting factor, that launch-phase control is where the timeslip gains actually come from.

Fitment for the BMW 2 Series F44 (2020-2026)

This kit is built for the BMW 2 Series F44, chassis code BM115-1, covering three- and four-cylinder cars from 2020 to 2026 with the modified rear integrated-link suspension configuration. Confirm your car matches this rear axle specification before ordering, as F44 variants were built with more than one rear suspension layout across the range.

What buyers also search for

  • BMW 2 Series F44 drag racing coilover kit for 0-400 metre launches.
  • BMW 2 Series F44 suspension setup for consistent straight-line traction.
  • F44 BM115-1 adjustable coilovers for three- and four-cylinder drag builds.
  • BMW 2 Series F44 weight-transfer tuning for front-wheel-drive launch control.

Every BM115-1 Drag Racing kit comes with adjustable ride height and damping so you can tune launch behaviour to your exact gearing and tyre setup – build yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
