XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E90 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2011

The E90 M3’s S65 V8 puts 414bhp through a rear axle that was tuned, from the factory, for fast road composure rather than sustained sideways abuse. The standard EDC dampers fight you the moment you start asking the chassis to hold an angle on opposite lock – they were never written for it. This Drift Spec coilover replaces all of that, and the supplied cancellation kit kills the EDC fault codes so the dash stays clean.

Drift requires a different conversation between driver, throttle and chassis than circuit work does. The Drift Spec kit is built specifically for that conversation: stabilising the body mid-rotation, holding a usable angle at speed, and giving the driver a predictable rear end to lean against on transitions.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 Bmw 3 Series E90 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping)

Drop the ride height and the E90 M3’s roll centre moves with it, which is exactly what you want when initiating from speed – the car takes a set quicker and the front end bites harder on turn-in. The dampers are tuned to keep the rear platform composed once the car is loaded sideways, so mid-corner corrections feel like steering inputs rather than saves. Bump stroke is set up to let the car squat under throttle without crashing into the bumpstops on kerbs and ripples. The cancellation kit handles the EDC side cleanly: no warning lights, no nagging dash, no need to fight the car’s own electronics every time you go out. For an E90 M3 owner who has finally accepted the S65 deserves a chassis built around drifting rather than touring-car compromise, this is where that build starts.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is a purpose-designed competitive drifting platform from XYZ Racing – not a circuit damper relabelled. The geometry and valving are written specifically to stabilise the body during high-speed turn-in and to hold the car at the angle the driver is asking for, rather than trying to neutralise the slide. XYZ describes it as letting you "realise how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition" once the ride height and bump stroke are correctly set, which is a fair summary: the kit rewards setup time. Lowered geometry with properly managed bump stroke gives you the squat, the load transfer and the angle stability that drift driving actually depends on. For the E90 M3 specifically, the inclusion of the EDC cancellation kit means the conversion is a complete job in the box, not a half-fit that leaves you chasing CAN-bus errors afterwards.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 SERIES E90 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2007-2011)

Chassis code BM63-1-C, covering the E90 saloon M3 with factory Electronic Damping Control between 2007 and 2011. The EDC cancellation kit is included so the car’s electronics do not throw faults once the original adaptive struts are removed. This is the M3-specific application – not a 3 Series part adapted upward.
