XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES E92 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2007-2011

The E92 M3’s S65 V8 sits high and forward, and the factory EDC dampers were tuned for a road car that could lap a circuit – not for a car being held sideways at 60-plus degrees of steering lock. This Drift Spec kit ships with the EDC cancellation module so the dash stops crying about a fault the moment the OE shocks come out, and gives you a coilover platform built around angle, weight transfer and recovery rather than lap times.

Drift use changes what you want from a suspension. You need the chassis to load predictably on initiation, hold the slide without the rear stepping out of phase, and settle fast enough between transitions that the next clutch-kick lands clean. The Drift Spec platform is set up specifically for that job on a heavy front-engined V8 like the E92 M3.

What this coilover does for your 2007-2011 Bmw 3 Series E92 M3 (cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping)

Drop the M3 to a sensible drift height and the front end finally has the geometry to bite on initiation instead of pushing wide. The Drift Spec damping is tuned to keep the rear loaded mid-slide, so the car holds angle without snapping back the moment you ease off lock. Bump stroke is set to give you usable travel after the ride-height drop – kerbs, rumble strips and clipping points stop unsettling the chassis the way they do on a slammed coilover with no shaft left. The included cancellation kit kills the EDC fault light at source, so you can run the new dampers without the OE control unit fighting them or throwing the iDrive into a sulk.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is built around the demands of competitive drifting rather than circuit lap times. The damping curve is tuned to stabilise the body during high-speed entries so the driver can commit to angle without the chassis going light at the wrong moment. Spring rates and valving work together to help the car hold a clean line through the slide and recover quickly for the next transition. Ride-height adjustment is generous, with bump stroke retained at lowered settings so the suspension keeps working when you load the outside corner hard. The cancellation kit included here is specific to BMW’s Electronic Damping Control system – it plugs in where the OE EDC harness terminated, removing the dash warning and electrical fault state that would otherwise be triggered the moment the original adaptive dampers are unplugged.

Fitment for the Bmw 3 SERIES E92 M3 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) (2007-2011)

Specific to the E92 M3 coupe chassis (XYZ reference BM67-1-C) for model years 2007 through 2011. This is the EDC-cancellation variant – order this part number if your car left the factory with Electronic Damping Control. Standard non-EDC M3s use the equivalent kit without the cancellation harness.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
