XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ford PROBE 1993-1997

The second-generation Probe (FO17) is a nose-heavy, front-driven coupe sitting on Mazda-derived running gear, and that front weight bias is exactly what makes deliberate angle hard to provoke and harder to hold. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built around that problem: it lets you drop the Probe onto a controlled bump stroke and settle the body the instant you load it into a high-speed turn, so the transition is something you command rather than chase.

This is competition hardware, not a fast-road compromise. The Pro Racing Drift Spec set is engineered to stabilise the chassis through aggressive, high-speed direction changes and keep the car composed at the moment of initiation – the window where a soft, road-biased Probe simply washes wide.

What this coilover does for your 1993-1997 Ford Probe

Lowering the 1993-1997 Ford Probe on this kit tightens body movement and pins the platform flatter when you throw it sideways, which is where the angle and the recovery both come from. The damping is set through three adjustment knobs, so you can match valving to surface and driving style without pulling the dampers off the car. Proper ride-height-to-bump-stroke matching means the suspension still has usable travel after the drop, so the front end keeps biting instead of crashing onto its stops. The result is a Probe that holds a line on lock and responds predictably when you ask it to swing.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

The Pro Racing Drift Spec is purpose-made for drifting rather than adapted from a general track kit. Its design priority is body stability during high-speed cornering so the driver can place and sustain a clean angle, with the geometry of the drop chosen to put drift control into its best operating window. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs for fine control over the damper behaviour. One honest quirk: the dampers use a small oil-hole design, so driving hard over large bumps can produce a faint noise as oil moves through the narrow passage – that is normal, and the kit is intended for circuit surfaces where this is a non-issue.

Fitment for the Ford Probe (1993-1997)

This kit is specified for the Ford Probe, chassis code FO17, across the 1993-1997 model years. Confirm your chassis code and year against your car before configuring; only fitment details listed here apply to this set.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
