XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mitsubishi OUTLANDER 2WD/4WD 2003-2006

The first-generation Outlander (MT33) left the factory tall, soft and long-legged – a compact crossover damped for kerbs and motorway slip roads, not for a gravel stage taken in anger. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover answers a different brief entirely: long-travel, fade-resistant damping for the Mitsubishi Outlander 2WD/4WD when it is driven hard on loose and frozen surfaces.

This is rally and rallycross hardware, not a fast-road lowering kit. Where the standard MT33 struts run short on stroke and cook their oil over a sustained loose-surface run, this coilover gives the car the travel and the thermal reserve to keep the wheels tracking the ground.

What this coilover kit does for your 2003-2006 Mitsubishi Outlander 2WD/4WD

The extra suspension travel, front and rear, is the headline change you feel on the Outlander. With a bigger buffer before the damper reaches its limit, a wheel dropping into a rut or unloading over a crest stays composed rather than crashing through to the bump stop, which keeps a tall, relatively heavy 4WD crossover stable on broken ground. The enlarged oil and nitrogen volume means damping force holds steady deep into a stage instead of going vague as temperatures climb. Three adjustment knobs let you set the car up for the surface in front of you, from packed snow to rough gravel, and the long stroke gives the MT33 the wheel control its standard setup never had on the loose.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper is built primarily for rally and rallycross use. The defining feature is travel: both the front and rear units run longer stroke than a road coilover, increasing the buffer distance that keeps the car settled over big inputs. To match that travel, XYZ Racing increases the volume of both the shock oil and the pressurised nitrogen gas inside each damper. That extra capacity is what resists heat build-up, so the oil does not overheat and lose its damping after prolonged hard running. Adjustment runs through three knobs, paired with a small oil-passage design. Note that on large bumps the oil moving through that narrow passage can produce a faint noise – this is normal behaviour for the design and not a fault, and on a stage surface it is a non-issue.

Fitment for the Mitsubishi Outlander 2WD/4WD (2003-2006)

This kit is specified for the first-generation Outlander, chassis code MT33, across the 2003 to 2006 model years. It covers both the 2WD and 4WD versions of the car. Confirm your chassis code and drivetrain against your own vehicle before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
