XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Honda INTEGRA DA6 SINGLE CAM (Rear EYE) 1989-1993

The DA-chassis Integra is a featherweight by modern standards, and on a stripped circuit car the single-cam DA6 rewards a damper that can actually keep up with how quickly the front end loads and unloads. The factory rear eye mount on this variant is a known constraint – swap to a generic kit and you fight the geometry before you’ve turned a wheel. The Racing Spec coilover is built around that mounting reality and around the DA6’s modest kerb weight, where overdamped circuit kits leave the car skating across kerbs instead of biting into them.

For serious track and time-attack work in an early-90s Integra, this is the spec that lets you run the car the way it wants to be run – rotation on trailed brake, a planted front under power out of long second-gear corners, and enough mechanical grip to make the most of period-correct semi-slick rubber.

What this Racing Spec coilover does for your 1989-1993 Honda Integra

Drop in the Racing Spec kit and the DA6 stops bottoming through compressions and stops floating over mid-corner bumps – the two failure modes that punish a light front-drive chassis on a UK circuit. Damping is matched to genuine race spring rates, so initial bite into a corner is sharper and the rear stays composed when you ease off mid-apex. Ride height comes down without losing usable travel, which is the difference between a car that looks slammed in the paddock and a car that actually carries pace through Druids or the Old Hairpin. On 13- or 14-inch period wheels the geometry stays sensible, and on a wider modern setup you get the body control to lean on the outer front tyre without the chassis collapsing onto its bump stops. The result is a DA6 that finally feels like the lightweight road-racer it always wanted to be.

About the Racing Spec coilover

Racing Spec is XYZ Racing’s circuit-only damper, developed directly out of their participation in series including the WTCC. The valving and spring rates are not a softened version of a fast-road kit – they are derived from race-car data and intended for cars run with a track focus, not a weekend compromise. Construction is built for the heat cycles and repeated full-travel events that circuit use puts through a damper, where a road-biased coilover would fade. The kit ships with rates and damping selected for this chassis, but the Racing Spec programme also supports bespoke specification for cars carrying aggressive mechanical upgrades – heavier brake setups, aero, swapped powertrains, or A-class race builds. You can supply XYZ Racing with the full upgrade list and the circuits you intend to run, and the dampers can be built to that exact brief rather than to a generic catalogue rate.

Fitment for the Honda Integra (1989-1993)

This kit is built for the AC03-chassis Integra DA6 single-cam variant with the factory rear eye lower mount. It covers the 1989 to 1993 production span of the DA6 in that configuration. Confirm your rear mount style against the original strut before ordering – the rear eye fitment is what separates this part number from the bushed-mount Integras of the same era.
