XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Toyota COROLLA ALTIS E170 (OE Rear Integrated) 2013-2018

The E170 Corolla Altis was never sold as a driver’s car, which is exactly why its stock dampers give up so early once you start stringing corners together at pace. Body roll builds progressively rather than settling, and the softly-sprung rear axle struggles to keep the outside tyre loaded through a long right-hander. The Circuit Master coilover is built for owners taking this chassis into sustained lap sessions, not just the odd track day.

On a platform this size and weight, consistency lap after – sorry, consistency across repeated sessions matters more than outright grip on a single flying lap. This kit is aimed squarely at drivers running the Altis in circuit conditions where the suspension has to keep working the same way on lap fifteen as it did on lap one.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2018 Toyota Corolla Altis E170

Fitted to the OE Rr Integrated rear end, the Circuit Master keeps the E170’s rear geometry working within its factory-integrated mounting points while adding the adjustment range the standard dampers never had. With 9720 possible damping combinations available through the coilover’s adjustment knobs, you can set a firmer low-speed compression to control the body roll that plagues this chassis under load, then back off high-speed damping so the car still tracks bumpy circuit kerbs without skipping. Lowering the ride height also drops the centre of gravity on a car that was originally tuned for comfort over cornering, sharpening turn-in response that the factory setup simply doesn’t offer. Because the damping is independently adjustable front and rear, you can dial out the understeer that heavier-engined Corolla Altis variants tend to carry into slow corners without upsetting rear stability on corner exit.

About the Circuit Master coilover

XYZ Racing built the Circuit Master as its circuit-focused damper, developed and run by XYZ’s own racing teams across international circuits during extended testing programmes. The headline figure is 9720 distinct adjustment combinations, delivered through three external knobs that let a driver separate compression and rebound control rather than relying on a single all-in-one dial. That level of adjustment is aimed at drivers chasing a specific balance for a specific circuit, not a generic road setting. The valving uses a small-orifice oil-passage design inside the damper body; on rough kerbs or track surface joins this can produce a faint noise as oil moves through the restricted passage, which is a normal characteristic of this construction rather than a fault. The trade-off for that noise is a damper built to hold its settings and its performance over repeated, sustained circuit use rather than degrading after a handful of hard sessions.

Fitment for the Toyota Corolla Altis E170 (OE Rr Integrated) (2013-2018)

This kit is specified for the Toyota Corolla Altis E170, chassis code TO28-1, across the 2013 to 2018 production run. It’s built for the OE Rr Integrated rear configuration, meaning it retains the factory rear mounting arrangement rather than requiring a converted setup. Confirm your Altis falls within this year range and uses the standard integrated rear end before ordering.
